Objectives

To appreciate and recognize the carers of children with special educational needs for their unwavering love for their children and noble sentiments of perseverance and devotion to their families. At the same time, to arouse the community’s awareness in supporting the carers and promoting a caring and mutual supportive community atmosphere in the society.

Target Groups

Carers (including parents or relatives) of children with Special Educational Needs who are studying in pre-primary units, primary schools, secondary schools, and special schools.

How to participate

1. Carer can be nominated by nominator.

2. Carer can apply for self-nomination.

Choose one of the following forms to present the carer's care journey or life story:

- Text (Limited to 1,000 words)

- Short video or interview (limited to 3 minutes)

Downloading the Campaign's details & application forms

Nominators or self-nominators can obtain the Campaign’s details and nomination/self-nomination form from any service unit of Heep Hong Society or download it using the above QR code. Please send the form together with the description of carer’s care journey or life story either by post to Heep Hong Society " Working Group on Appreciation Campaign for Carers of Children with Special Educational Needs 2025”

Awards and Prizes

1. 5 Outstanding Carers Special Awards – a trophy & 1-night stay in hotel deluxe double room package

2. Top Ten Outstanding Carers Awards – a trophy & $1,000 shopping coupons

3. No less than 20 winners of the Merit Awards – a certificate of appreciation & souvenir

The nominators of awardees will receive a souvenir.

Judging Criteria

1. Attitude towards the care recipient

2. Relationship with the care recipient

3. Ability to care for the care recipient

4. Personal attitude and traits towards life

Announcement of Results and Arrangement of the Award Presentation Ceremony

The judging results will be announced in early June 2025. All awardees and their nominators will be invited to attend the Award Presentation Ceremony with meal gathering to be held in late June 2025, details of which will be announced later.
