To celebrate the 60th anniversary of Heep Hong Society, we are honoured to invite renowned overseas experts and scholars to Hong Kong to share the latest research findings on strategies to support childern, adolescents and adults with special educational needs. In the afternoon of the event, our multidisciplinary team and scholars from the University of Hong Kong will conduct concurrent workshops to share evidence-based research and practical experiences.

The conference will be conducted in hybrid mode. People around the globe are welcome to join via in-person or live broadcast. In order to provide a deeper understanding and discussion of training strategies for special educational needs among professionals and the general public, we will also be offering multiple certification workshops. Interested individuals are welcome to register.

Remarks

1.        Registration
i.         Online registration can be made. Participants will receive a confirmation email upon scussesful registration.
ii.        Participants should check carefully the event details of the conference and/or workshops, such as date and time when registration.
iii.       If participants are unavailable to participate in the conference or workshops, the related fee can neither be refunded nor transferred.
iv.       Heep Hong Society reserves the right of final acceptance of applications.
v.        The registration can only be refunded should the event be cancelled due to decision made by the organizer.

2.       Oversubscription or Cancellation
i.        If registration are oversubscribed before the deadline, Heep Hong Society will stop accepting applications without further notice. Participants may apply to be placed on the waiting list.
ii.        Heep Hong Society reserves the right to change the speakers, date, time, venue, quota and contents of the conference and workshops without prior notice.

3.       General reminders
i.        In order not to delay the proceedings of the conference and workshops, we request your cooperation to be punctual. No further reminder will be issued.
ii.       Recording in audio or video or in any form is not allowed during the conference and workshops.
iii.       Copying, duplicating, publishing, uploading or distributing of the course materials in any form, either online or offline, is strictly prohibited.
iv.       Babysitting services will not be provided during the conference and workshops.
v.        The conference will be recorded by Heep Hong Society for review and evaluation purpose. Any participant who does not consent to such arrangement shall notify staff of Heep Hong Society before the event starts

4.       Arrangement of Bad Weather
i.        The A.M. and P.M. sessions will be cancelled when Typhoon Signal No.8 (or above), Black Rainstorm Warning Signal or Extreme Conditions is hoisted two hours before the start of the conference or workshops. The conference and workshops will be conducted as scheduled under other weather conditions.

i.        Heep Hong Society undertakes to comply with the requirements of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance to ensure that personal data kept are accurate and secured. Your personal information (including name, email address, etc) may be used by Heep Hong Society for the purposes of sending organizational updates, fundraising appeals, event invitations, surveys and other communication and marketing materials to you via telephone, post and/or electronic mails. ii.        Participants should provide accurate information in the registration form. Heep Hong Society shall not be liable to any loss if the Society is failed to contact the applicant for any changes of the event.
