Providing more comprehensive support for children with special needs
The 60th issue of Heep Hong Express takes a closer look at the challenges faced by mainstream kindergartens in supporting children suspected of having or diagnosed with special needs. It unveils the secret of "On-site Pre-school rehabilitation Services" and "Pilot Project on Tier 1 Support Services in Kindergartens / Kindergarten-cum-Child Care Centres", showing how the two schemes help support these students. In addition, the Society's physiotherapist shares the relationship between the senses and brain development, and introduces parent-child games to promote children's sensory development. In the "Conversations" section, we invited three Heep Hong Society staff members to talk about how they support children and youth with special needs, as well as their families.
