‘I-Move-to-Learn’ Game DVD of Heep Hong Society Honoured with ‘The WSA Global Champion 2013’

In the ‘World Summit Award 2013’, the ‘I-Move-to-Learn’ game DVD developed by physiotherapists of Heep Hong Society outperformed 461 entries from 160 countries and was named ‘The WSA Global Champion 2013’ in the ‘e-Health & Environment’ category for its innovative ways to help children with motor developmental problems at the WSA Global Congress on 26 October 2013. It is also the first time the prestigious award went to a project from the Greater China Region.

The World Summit Award (WSA) is the global follow-up initiative of the United Nations World Summit on Information Society organised by the International Center for New Media. It selects and promotes the world's best e-Content and innovative ICT applications. There are eight categories under WSA and a global champion is selected from the top five winners of each category.

The ‘I-Move-to-Learn’ game DVD is the first game-based virtual reality multi-purpose motor training programme for children with motor delay and coordination problems. Earlier in Hong Kong ICT Awards 2013 held by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service, the game DVD was presented with The ‘Best Digital Inclusion (Product / Application) Bronze Award’ in recognition of its effectiveness in helping children and promoting social integration.
